The free plan is paid for by banner ads, the way iLovePDF and the rest of the free web are. They sit under a finished answer, never in front of one, and never inside a tool you are working in. Every paid plan removes them.

What an account is for
An account is free, and it is what lets this app keep things for you. Signed in, you get a library of books that carries between your own machines — the trim, paper, page count and listing, never a file you opened — and each pre-flight audit is kept against its book, so the next run can tell you what changed. Signed out, every tool still runs and every answer is still the true one; what you do not get is the keeping. No file is uploaded either way.
Paid plans are not open yet
There is no checkout in iLoveKDP, so there is nothing to buy today and nothing to cancel. What is in force today is the free column above: 10 books, 5 audits a day and interiors up to 120 pages. Signed out you keep neither the books nor the audits, and the assistant needs Studio, which only an operator can grant. Every file you open is read in your own browser rather than uploaded. The columns above are what we intend to charge when the plans open — which is a different day from the one accounts opened on — published early so nobody builds a workflow on this app without knowing where it is heading.
